Genting Highland

40 Minutes from Kuala Lumpur



Genting Highlands is a high-altitude hill resort in Malaysia, located in the Titiwangsa Mountains northeast of Kuala Lumpur. Developed since the 1960s, the site comprises hotels, a shopping mall, restaurants and the Casino de Genting. Its Chin Swee Caves Temple sits on forested acreage with mountain views. Genting Skyway, a cable car, connects the resort with the plateau town Gohtong Jaya.

Merdeka Square

Merdeka Square (Malay: Dataran Merdeka) is a square located in Kuala LumpurMalaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Literally Independence Square, it was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the "Padang" and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now Royal Selangor Club). It was here the Union Flag was lowered and the Malayan flag hoisted for the first time at midnight (time: 12:00 AM) on 31 August 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the usual venue for the annual Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade).

Batu Caves Temple

Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in GombakSelangorMalaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu (Batu River), which flows past the hill. It is the tenth (Pattu in Tamil) limestone hill from Ampang. Batu Caves is also the name of a nearby village. The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.

Sunway Lagoon

Sunway Lagoon is an amusement park located in Bandar SunwaySubang JayaSelangorMalaysia. The park began operations in 1992 and was officiated by the then Prime Minister of MalaysiaTun Mahathir bin Mohamad, on 29 April 1993. Since its opening, the theme park has added Malaysia’s first surf simulator, the FlowRider in 2010; Malaysia’s first 5D Waterplexx in 2012 and a very large water ride, Vuvuzela, in 2013.

Janda Baik

Janda Baik become a popular spot for cyclists and trail runners. The town has become popular among cyclists who perceive it as an ideal place for cycling due to its route's hill terrain were perceived as challenging, in addition to scenic views, little traffic, cold climate and a cuisine haven. The village is also popular for trail running due to its hilly slopes, and also has a swimming poolpaintball and ATV driving.

The surrounding city is relatively blocked from sight, allowing market goers and vendors to fully immerse in the dynamic life of Petaling Street.

KL Twin Tower

Soaring to a height of 451.9 metres, the 88-storey twin structure is Kuala Lumpur's crown jewel. Majestic by day and dazzling at night, the PETRONAS Twin Towers is inspired by Tun Mahathir Mohamad's vision for Malaysia to be a global player. These towers are the tallest twin towers in the world and it's status has remained unchallenged since 1996. The towers provide many attractions such as the sky bridge, shopping complex and restaurants.

Putrajaya

Putrajaya, an "Intelligent Garden City" and the federal administrative capital of Malaysia, is a showcase city under construction some 30 km south of the capital Kuala Lumpur. Her adjacent sister city, Cyberjaya, though not part of the federal territory of Putrajaya, is built along the same lines, and is aimed at attracting the IT industry. The area used to be a plantation known as Prang Besar.

Jalan Alor is a unique food destination located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The streets of this place are full of old era construction, so you will not find any modern shopping mall here. It was initially known as a red-light district, and fragments of those activities still exist, but after various facelifts, the street is now called the heaven of food.

Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park

Kampung Kuantan is know for its fireflies (or Kelip-kelip, as it fondly called by the local) that dwell along Sg Selangor river banks and feeding on the Berembang trees (mangrove trees) that grow well in brackish water. The mangrove trees with its scientific name, Sonneratia Casolaris, can be found until 8 km upstream and 18 km downstream to Kuala Selangor. A trip to Kuala Selangor would be incomplete without exploring the uniqueness and miracles of the Kuantan Village Fireflies found in the midst of mangrove trees in this small villages. Visitors would experience riding on a traditional sampan (small boat) down the Selangor River and observe the fireflies in close proximity.
